Manifest Your Intention

Open to Love drawneartogod

Live life as if everything is rigged in your favor.  Rumi

Such a simple concept, yet so true: that which we manifest is before us; we are the creators of our own destiny.  Be it through intention or ignorance, our successes and our failures have been brought on by none other than ourselves.  Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain

[T]he basic stuff of the universe, at its core, is a kind of pure energy that is malleable to human intention and expectation in a way that defies our old mechanistic model of the universe – as though our expectation itself causes our energy to flow out into the world and affect other energy systems.   James Redfield, The Celestine Prophecy

It takes a deep commitment to change and an even deeper commitment to grow.  Ralph Ellison

When you choose to stay focused on what you desire, instead of what you don’t have, you realign your energy and cause external circumstances to shift.  Connecting with and choosing to remain in your state of inner peace, regardless of what is happening, is a dynamic affirmation that the external world is shaped by the internal one.  Lynne Herod- DeVerges, Center of Light Miracles

Being Alone is OK

Lone Aviator Flickr

The physical aspect of being human gravitates towards being pack animals.  We take comfort in being part of group – family, team, community.  Being alone is not valued.  When we lose our feeling of not belonging, we can become depressed.  It’s not the norm.  But the spiritual side of ourselves, the essence that is ever evolving towards its Source, can cause us to become separated from those who are following different roads to the same destination.

Sometimes we have to be on our road alone for awhile until we meet like travelers.  This can be lonely and disconcerting.  We don’t want to leave our loved ones or them to leave us.  We don’t want to part from what has been comforting for years, what has been safe.  We don’t want to be isolated.

But if we are to grow, if we want to evolve, this is what is necessary.  We have to know that this is a period of transition that will soon pass into a new level of being if we can have the courage to persevere.  You may feel as though you’re all alone, but open your heart.  Listen with your inner ears.  See with your unfiltered eyes.  Understand with your eternal mind.  That which is within you will eventually manifest into material form.  Robin Hart

Awakening Consciousness

It’s exhilarating to be alive in a time of awakening consciousness.  It can also be confusing, disorienting, and painful.  Adrienne Rich

When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.  Audre Lorde

It is crucial that we develop real awareness of ourselves as citizens of Earth, linked by mutual and indissoluble bonds.  When we clearly recognize this reality and ground ourselves in it, we are compelled to take a strict accounting of our way of life.  Daisaku Ikeda

Perhaps the immobility of the things that surround us is forced upon them by our conviction that they are themselves and not anything else, and by the immobility of our conception of them.  The Jesus Incident by Frank Herbert and Bill Ransom

The cosmos is within us.  We are made of star-stuff.  We are a way for the universe to know itself.  Carl Sagan

The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future.  Eckhart Tolle

You Are the Looking Glass

Life is not happening to you.  Life is responding to you.  Rhonda Byrne

Blame is a very common, ancient, well-perfected device for trying to feel better.  Blame others.  Blaming is a way to protect your heart, trying to protect what is soft and open and tender in yourself.  Rather than own that pain, we scramble to find some comfortable ground.  Pema Chödrön

When you complain, you make yourself a victim.  Leave the situation, change the situation, or accept it.  All else is madness.  Eckhart Tolle

It is not in the stars that our destiny is held, but in ourselves.  William Shakespeare

I do believe that one way to have a destiny is to choose one.  Melinda McGraw

Without change, something sleeps inside us and seldom awakens.  The sleeper must awaken.  Frank Herbert

Move Into Your Potential

Only through constantly changing can we achieve our greatest potential.  Robin Hart

It is entirely possible that behind the perceptions of our senses, worlds are hidden of which we are unaware.  Albert Einstein

The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival.  Aristotle

If you keep moving forward, you will stumble into God’s blessings.  Joel Osteen

If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down.  Toni Morrison

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up.  The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.    Thomas A. Edison

A Grateful Heart

Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.  Sarah Ban Breathnach

Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you and of giving thanks, continuously.  Because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.  Ralph Waldo Emerson

True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears, but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing.  The greatest blessings are within us and within our reach.  Seneca

Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.  Eckhart Tolle

A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness.  It is an expression of humility.  It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love, and well-being.  James E. Faust

Awakening the Soul

The sign of the awakening of the soul is that the awakened person throws a light, the light of his soul, upon every person and every object and sees that object, that condition in this light.  It is his own soul, which becomes a torch in his hand. It is his own light that illuminates his path.  It is just like throwing a searchlight upon dark corners, which one did not see before, and the corners become clear and illuminated again.  It is like throwing light upon problems that one did not understand at first.  It is like seeing with x-rays persons who were riddles before.    Hazrat Inayat Khan

Just what future the Designer of the universe has provided for the souls of men, I do not know.  I cannot prove.  But I find that the whole order of Nature confirms by confidence that, if it is not like our noblest hopes and dreams, it will transcend them.  Henry Norris Russell

The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.  Lao Tzu

I’m hungry for knowledge.  The whole thing is to learn every day, to get brighter and brighter.  That’s what this world is about.  You look at someone like Gandhi, and he glowed.  Martin Luther King glowed.  Muhammad Ali glows.  I think that’s from being bright all the time, and trying to be brighter.  Jay-Z

The source and center of all creative power is the power of making images, or the power of imagination.  Robert Collier

Every human has four endowments – self awareness, conscience, independent will, and creative imagination.  These give us the ultimate human freedom: the power to choose, to respond, to change.  Stephen Covey

See the Magic in Life

You’ll never rise higher than you see yourself.  Don’t limit what God can do in your life by focusing on what you see in the natural realm.  Joel Osteen

As you think, you become.  Knowingly or unknowingly, you imbibe the qualities of the thing named.  Sri Swami Satchidananda

When the mind is troubled, it is confused.  It cannot reflect [upon] anything.  It is the stillness of mind that makes one capable of receiving [awarenesses] and of reflecting upon them.  Murshid Hidayat Inayat-Khan

When we live the personal reality of peace, we become peacemakers. Our individual energy then aligns with the realities of other peacemakers, generating a wave of goodness throughout the world. This is how the phenomenon of faith within our awareness joins with others and becomes a great agency of transformation that creates a new, peaceful reality.  Oprah Winfrey and Deepak Chopra

“Of course there must be lots of Magic in the world,” he said wisely one day, “but people don’t know what it is like or how to make it. Perhaps the beginning is just to say nice things are going to happen until you make them happen. I am going to try and experiment.”  The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Determine to Blossom

. . . and then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.  Anais Nin

Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.  J. K. Rowling

Faith is indispensable for the perseverance required to break through the spacious ‘reality’ one knows to the as-yet-unknown Reality.   Whitall N. Perry

That which caused the many failures I had in learning the bicycle had caused me failures in life; namely, a certain fearful looking for judgment; a too vivid realization of the uncertainty of everything about me; an underlying doubt – at once, however (and this is all that saved me), matched and overcome by the determination not to give in to it.  Frances Willard

It is not really about the bike at all – it’s about cultivating a sense of independence and freedom.  It’s a feeling of, literally, going places in life.  It’s about getting up after you fall, doing things that scare you, and always finding a new ride.  Frances Willard

That man who is forced each day to snatch his manhood, his identity, out of the fire of human cruelty that rages to destroy it, knows . . . something about himself and human life that no school on earth – indeed, no church – can teach.  He achieves his own authority, and that is unshakable.  This is because, in order to save his life, he is forced to look beneath appearances, to take nothing for granted, to hear the meaning behind the words.  James Baldwin

The Peace of the Infinite Self

We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.  Kahlil Gibran

There is what is called the “cushion of the sea.” Down beneath the surface that is agitated by storms, and driven about with winds, there is a part of the sea that is never stirred.  Arthur T. Pierson

The peace of God is that eternal calm which, like the cushion of the sea, lies far too deep down to be reached by any external trouble and disturbance; and he who enters into the presence of God, becomes partaker of that undisturbed and undisturbable calm.  Dr. Arthur T. Pierson

Evil is an illusion.  There is only a judgment of “evil” in a person at any given time or moment.  This illusion expresses itself and, when neutralized, goes away.  A person manifests behavior, conditions, or appearances in some manner, which is considered evil by some and honorable by others.  There is no omnipotent evil force, only the perception of evil manifested.  This individualized evil can be neutralized by one centered in Reality.   Robin Hart

We have to heal our wounded world.  The chaos, despair, and senseless destruction we see today are a result of the alienation that people feel from each other and their environment.  Michael Jackson
