God has given you everything and everyone that will enable you to fulfill your purpose in this lifetime and to learn the lessons that will propel you to your destiny. We get in our own ways, impede our progress, and give in to despair when we are actually experiencing new birth or tremendous opportunities.
Be patient. You were given the right family, the right friends, and the right circumstances that will appear and disappear, cause stress, and provide the help that will sustain you when you cannot hold yourself up. You are being pushed to your highest potential. Developing any kind of muscle can be painful. Cultivating spiritual muscle can be challenging because there is not always a tangible goal that can be clearly seen. As well, the timeline for achievement is indefinite. The end result seems illusive.
We’re all going through something because we are to evolve into more than what we are. We are seeds that have to push through the dirt and rocks to give birth to our greatness. We have to withstand the rain, the wind, and the harsh sun in order to develop strong roots that may blossom into mighty oaks and redwoods. Then we will stand tall throughout the millennia, ever reaching towards the infinity of our beings. Remember, the higher the building, the deeper the foundation must be. What looks like a setback may actually be a setup towards your greatest success.
That’s why we must be committed to breaking through, to trying again and again to find and use available resources to get up or around those mountains and through those tunnels. We must do whatever is necessary to open ourselves to the Light. We have to prevail in order to continue the legacy of those who came before us and created the ladders on which we now cling. We have to do our part to create more rungs for others to climb.
Don’t give in to despair. If necessary, give yourself a designated amount of time to sit on your pity pot; but, get back up. Find a way to keep moving forward.
Things may not be as you expect or desire. People may not be there when you want them to be, but someone will be there when you are in true need, if you are open to receiving. When I was the primary caregiver for my mom, I resented being the only one most of the time. Where were my siblings? Where were those my mom helped throughout her life? But you know what? I made it through. I was fortunate to have a well paying job and was able to provide the care that my mother deserved. Now that I’m in less than an optimum financial situation, I don’t want help. I want to be self-sufficient. But guess what? During periods of dire need, I have received so much help and support from people who couldn’t or didn’t help me out the way that I wanted with my mom. In both situations, I received what I needed and am now receiving what is necessary to take me to the next level of my life.
The key is to let go of judgment and how you think situations and people should be. Accept how things ARE and develop ways to learn through your circumstances.
I often recall a story about a spiritual being in the higher realms of existence who decided to take on human form. He became financially successful with a wonderful wife and children. As time passed, he became an alcoholic and lost everything. He was eventually found dead on the streets, destitute and homeless. At his funeral, his friends, family, and former co-workers mourned and spoke sadly about his failures and descent from a status of fortune. However, when he returned to the higher realms, the other gods gathered around congratulating him! He had made it back and learned much from his brief visit. What was considered suffering in one realm was considered a growth period in another.
We each have the higher realm within us. When we tap into that eternal knowledge, we can develop discernment. We don’t yet fully know the ways of the Universe. We don’t know what’s going on in the lives and minds of others. We don’t know their or our own Truth, Reality, and Destinies. Therefore, we must focus on developing our faith and our trust that we are right where we are supposed to be and going through whatever we need to grow. Everything that happens is serving a purpose that will, at some point, be revealed. We have to know that our highest good is being prepared by the people and circumstances that come into our lives, regardless of whether love or chaos is expressed.
Determine to make it through – please! Your testimony will serve as inspiration and give strength to others.
